The Karnataka Forest Department invites applications from the eligible meritorious sports person for the posts of Deputy Range Forest Officers cum Surveyor, Forest Guards and Forest Watchers in the State. The selections of the candidates are made by the Special Recruitment Committee under the recruitment of meritorious sports persons in the manner specified under Karnataka Forest Department Services (Recruitment of Meritorious Spotingrts persons in the category of Deputy Range Forest Officers cum Surveyor, Forest Guards and Forest Watchers) (Special) Rules, 2017.

Required Qualification.

1.Deputy Range Forest Cum Surveyor = (1) Graduation in subjects namely viz. Forestry / Agriculture / Horticulture / Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science / Fisheries or Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the following subjects namely; Botany / Zoology / Wildlife / or equivalent from a recognized University.

 (2) A Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the following subjects namely; Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Agriculture / Chemical / Civil / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Environment Science / Computer Science / Computer Applications of a recognized University / deemed University / open University under UGC Act, 1963.

2.Forest Guard = Must have passed PUC or equivalent qualification on the date of notification.

3.Forest Watcher = Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination.

Age Criteria = !8 To 32 Years (As On 17-01-2018).
